Right after the Southern liberation, unifying the country, the school set out on meeting the demand for staff to teach and train students in construction to serve the need in building the country after the war. On February 14th 1976, the Ministry of Construction decided to establish the school of construction N0.6 with the task of training staff at  intermediate constructing, technical, and specialist levels  for the Central- Western Highlands which are hardship areas suffering regular natural disasters.

            The College of construction No.3 has the task of training technical staff of college level, professional Intermediate, vocational Intermediate and technical careers in the construction fields, economics; programs that inform from Intermediate to College, and has been associated with Universities to continue training from College to University to create good conditions for students to keep studying in the university.

         Shortly after Construction High School  No. 6 was upgraded to Contruction College No. 3 Party Committee, Managing Board has determined: Training and Scientific Research are two important tasks are related intimately together in Schools. Through scientific research to build the quality of teaching staff, scientific capacity development, improving the quality of training for Schools and practical economic and social development.
